Rubio says he initially ‘hated’ couch photo in viral meme

Secretary of State Marco Rubio said he “hated” a photo of him in the Oval Office that became a viral meme after the blowout meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky last year.

“Well, the meme thing, you know, was interesting because when it first came out, I hated that picture, you know, because what happened is in that couch, if you don’t have a pillow behind your back, you kind of sink,” Rubio said during an interview on Fox News’s “My View with Lara Trump” that aired Saturday.

And then it turned into this other thing, and it was fine and it’s funny.

I don’t really follow it very closely, but people have shown me pictures out there,” he added.
