Police rescued three teenagers who were reported missing in the Onkaparinga River National Park on Sunday, July 5, 2026. The trio, aged 15, 17, and 19, were reported missing just after 7pm. A police helicopter responded to reports that the teenagers were lost on the Sundews Track within the park.

All three were located "deep within the park" around 7:20pm. Southern District patrols then traversed steep terrain and knee-deep water on foot to find and escort the teenagers to safety.

Authorities advised hikers to carry appropriate safety equipment and allow enough time to complete their hikes, especially during winter. Police also urged anyone lost to stay where they are and contact Triple Zero (000) for assistance.

The rescue was confirmed by ABC News reporter Isabella Carbone, who noted the challenging conditions police faced during the search.
