The Union of European Football Leagues (UEFA) criticized FIFA on Monday for reversing a one-game suspension imposed on Team USA’s Folarin Balogun. The reversal came after President Trump contacted FIFA President Gianni Infantino. UEFA, also known as the Europa Leagues, described the decision as having “crossed a red-line.”

The suspension had been initially imposed but was lifted following the presidential call, prompting UEFA's strong disapproval.
