FIFA and Global Citizen have announced that Canadian pop singer Justin Bieber will join Madonna, Shakira, and BTS as co-headliners for the World Cup final halftime show scheduled for July 19 at the New York New Jersey Stadium.
The 11-minute performance will also feature Burna Boy, known for his chart-topping song "Dai Dai" with Shakira, and will be curated by Chris Martin of Coldplay. Additionally, characters from Sesame Street and The Muppets will make appearances during the show.
This event supports an initiative aiming to raise $100 million to expand access to quality education and football opportunities for children worldwide. To date, the initiative has raised over $50 million, with $1 from every ticket sale for World Cup matches contributing to the cause.
The halftime show promises a blend of global music icons and beloved characters, highlighting the event's commitment to social impact alongside entertainment.
