Sophie Cunningham and Lexie Hull, known as the Indiana Fever's self-described "mermaids," spent Monday on a California beach enjoying some "much needed r&r." The two players took advantage of a day off before their Wednesday night matchup against the Los Angeles Sparks by hitting Manhattan Beach for a bikini day.

Despite some criticism, Cunningham and Hull have demonstrated they can balance their off-court downtime with strong performances on the court. As noted, "Look good, feel good. Feel good, play good. Play good, they pay good."

The pair have been teammates for some time, including appearances with fellow professional basketball player Caitlin Clark, such as at the Pelican Golf Club in Belleair, Florida, in November 2025. They also played together during a WNBA game against the Phoenix Mercury in Phoenix, Arizona, in August 2025.

Their beach day reflects their ability to enjoy themselves off the court while maintaining their professional commitments. As one commentator said, "As I said when I questioned Clark going after these two last spring, they can do both."
