Los Angeles Rams offensive lineman Alaric Jackson has avoided criminal charges related to a domestic violence incident that occurred on June 9 in Los Angeles. According to the New York Post, prosecutors have declined to pursue the case, with both felony and misdemeanor charges being passed on by the District Attorney's Office and the city attorney respectively.
Jackson's pregnant girlfriend voluntarily dismissed her temporary restraining order against him. Police reports indicate the dispute began after Jackson believed he was being secretly recorded on a cell phone, and during an alleged struggle over the device, Jackson allegedly left scratch marks on her arm.
Despite the absence of criminal charges, Jackson's NFL career remains uncertain as the league's Personal Conduct Policy investigation is ongoing and could still impact his season.
