FIFA has lodged disciplinary charges against Argentina related to incidents during the 2026 World Cup. Two Argentine players face charges for striking Spanish opponents moments after Spain's 1-0 victory in the final on July 19, 2026. Midfielder Leandro Paredes faces three assault charges, defender Nahuel Molina two, and assistant coach Roberto Ayala one.

Additionally, Argentina's football federation has been charged for players displaying a political banner referencing the Falkland Islands after their 2-1 semifinal win against England. The banner bore the slogan “Las Malvinas son Argentinas” (The Malvinas are Argentine).

The disciplinary cases also include allegations of discriminatory chants and gestures by fans, assault by an assistant coach after the final, and the throwing of objects by spectators during several World Cup matches.

FIFA stated that all charged parties have been given the opportunity to present their positions, with decisions to be made by the FIFA Disciplinary Committee in due course.
