Chinese President Xi Jinping engaged in diplomatic talks with several foreign leaders throughout July 2026. In Beijing, he met with the leaders of Slovakia and Namibia. Additionally, on the sidelines of the World AI Conference in Shanghai, Xi held discussions with the heads of Cambodia, Thailand, and Kazakhstan.
Following a state visit and meeting with North Korean leader Kim Jong-un in June, Xi also hosted North Korean Premier Pak Thae-song in Beijing.
So far in 2026, Xi has met with 26 national leaders, including US President Donald Trump. There is potential for three more such meetings before the year ends.
These interactions underscore Xi's active role in international diplomacy across Asia and beyond.
