Donald Trump’s Truth Social platform has introduced a new subscription-based service called Truth API, which provides paying customers, including trading firms, with faster, real-time access to posts from Trump and other prominent accounts. Launched on Saturday, August 1st, 2026, the service charges fees up to $100,000 per month for early access.

Interim CEO Kevin McGurn described Truth API as an application programming interface designed to deliver “a direct, licensed, real-time feed of the platform’s most market-moving Truths.” This move mirrors similar paid data services on other social media platforms but stands out because Trump is the largest shareholder of the publicly traded parent company and the platform’s most influential user. He frequently announces major policy decisions on Truth Social before other outlets.

The launch has drawn criticism and concerns about potential misconduct benefiting a sitting president. Democratic senators Adam Schiff and Elizabeth Warren have called on the Securities and Exchange Commission to investigate the new service. The scrutiny comes amid broader attention to financial disclosures showing Trump generated over $1 billion in revenue last year from related companies and ventures, despite significant investor losses in Trump family cryptocurrency projects.

On the day before the Truth API debut, shares of Trump Media rose 5.5% to $10.39, according to Forbes.
