The 2026 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow conclude tonight, with Australia striving to finish on a high note across multiple sports. After a semifinal defeat to Jamaica on August 1st, the Australian netball team, the Diamonds, are set to compete against England for the bronze medal. During the match, England introduced Funmi Fadoju as goal defense, applying pressure on Diamonds GA Kiera Austin. However, Austin and GS Sophie Garbin have been highly effective in the goal circle, missing only one shot between them in the second quarter, helping Australia maintain a lead on the scoreboard.

Meanwhile, Australia's cyclists are aiming to cap off an incredibly successful Games by securing additional medals. In the points race event, which features multiple sprints, Australian riders Blake Agnoletto and Conor Leahy are competing in the first of two heats. Out of 13 competitors, only the bottom three will fail to qualify for the final.

The closing ceremony will mark the end of the Games, which have showcased strong performances from Australian athletes across disciplines.
