OutKick founder Clay Travis has issued a $10 million challenge to the WNBA, proposing a "modern-day battle of the sexes" basketball game between the reigning WNBA champion Las Vegas Aces and a boys' high school basketball state championship team.

The challenge comes amid an intensifying transgender culture debate in the WNBA following comments by Indiana Fever guard Sophie Cunningham, 29, who stated that girls should not have to compete against biological men in women’s sports. Cunningham’s stance has drawn both strong support from women's sports advocates and significant backlash.

Travis argued on "The Will Cain Show" that if the WNBA truly believes men are not significantly better than women at basketball, then the WNBA champion should be able to defeat a team of high school boys. He emphasized the potential for raising tens of millions of dollars for charity through the event and said, "I'm putting my money where my mouth is."

He also criticized the WNBA commissioner for not publicly supporting Cunningham or basic rules related to the debate. Travis stated, "It's called the WNBA because it's the women's basketball association, right?" and suggested that if men are allowed to play, the game should be against high school boys rather than NBA players.

The proposed game would be a pay-per-view event, with $10 million awarded to the winning side—an amount Travis noted is more than has ever been paid to win a single basketball game in history.
