TOKYO — The Japanese government is expanding a pilot project to promote Japanese TV dramas in Thailand as part of a strategy to assess overseas demand and potentially extend distribution to other Asian countries. This initiative focuses on live-action content, complementing the already popular anime exports from Japan.

Among the featured shows is the hit TBS drama "Vivant," which is one of five titles having new episodes broadcast in Thailand within days of their airing in Japan. This move reflects Japan's effort to diversify its cultural exports and strengthen its presence in the Asian entertainment market.
