Donald Trump has declined to say whether Ohio Republican Representative Max Miller should step aside from his reelection campaign following domestic abuse allegations made by Miller's ex-wife. Trump was questioned about Miller during a Thursday signing event in the Oval Office, describing the situation as "very sad." Miller previously served as a senior adviser to Trump during his first presidential term.

Miller's ex-wife is the daughter of Republican Senator Bernie Moreno of Ohio, who has publicly stated that Miller should not be serving in the House of Representatives.

Separately, one month after the United States Supreme Court struck down Trump's initial attempt to limit birthright citizenship guaranteed by the 14th Amendment, Trump signed new executive orders on Thursday aimed at denying US citizenship to children born in the country to so-called "birth tourists." These orders follow a previous order overturned by the Supreme Court just five weeks ago.
