On Friday, August 7th, 2026, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, and Turkey signed a mutual defence agreement. According to Pakistan’s foreign ministry, the pact stipulates that “any armed attack against any one of the three States shall be regarded as an attack against them all.” This alliance among the Sunni Muslim nations aims to strengthen security ties amid ongoing regional conflicts, including the war involving Iran.
