Egyptian forward Omar Marmoush scored twice within three minutes as Manchester City rallied to defeat Atletico Madrid 3-1 in their final preseason friendly match held on Sunday, August 9th, 2026, at the Seoul World Cup Stadium in South Korea.

Atletico Madrid initially took the lead late in the first half when Jorge Dominguez capitalized on a corner that Manchester City failed to clear. Despite City being dominant before conceding, with players like Tijjani Reijnders, Josko Gvardiol, and Savinho missing scoring opportunities, the pressure eventually paid off.

In the 57th minute, Marmoush equalized after a skillful cross from Antoine Semenyo, who beat his marker to set up the Egyptian forward for a close-range finish. Marmoush then added a second goal shortly after, securing the comeback victory for Manchester City.
