A joint training camp practice between the New York Jets and Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Florham Park, New Jersey, was interrupted on Tuesday, August 11th, 2026, after Jets cornerback Qwan'tez Stiggers "passed out" and was taken off the field in an ambulance.

Head coach Aaron Glenn reported that Stiggers came to the bench after a play and fainted but remained conscious. Glenn praised the medical staff for their response and added that Stiggers was "able to talk" and is "for the most part... good."

According to ESPN, Stiggers was administered an IV while still on the turf. The practice took place amid warm conditions, with temperatures reaching 85 degrees in Florham Park and having approached triple digits over the preceding weekend.

Stiggers was drafted by the Jets in the fifth round of the 2024 NFL Draft and appeared in 15 games last season. He is notable for being the first player since 1999 to be drafted directly out of the Canadian Football League (CFL).
