Boerne Little League had previously won a game against Louisiana's Ascension Parish Little League 4-1, which was initially declared the Southwest championship match due to Tulsa National's disqualification.

Tulsa National's attorney, Griffin Media, praised the judge's decision, saying, "Judge [Ryan] Luna made the right decision to give the boys an opportunity to play the game and decide everything on the field."

Little League explained their initial ruling came after "a recent protest related to the eligibility of players on the Tulsa National Little League Baseball team." They emphasized their reliance on adult volunteers and parents to adhere to the organization's rules to maintain fairness and integrity.

Little League International also expressed commitment to supporting all children affected by the decision and providing guidance to the families involved.

The reinstatement ensures Tulsa National remains in contention for a spot in the Little League World Series, held at Lamade Stadium in South Williamsport, Pennsylvania.
