Justice Thomas Bradley to replace Dr Jeannette Young as Queensland governor

Justice Bradley has served on the Supreme Court since 2018, moving to the Court of Appeal in 2025.

He will be sworn into the role on November 1, taking over from Dr Jeannette Young, who has served five years in the role.

At a press conference this morning, Premier David Crisafulli said the "born and raised Queenslander" understands the decentralised nature of the state.

"To have someone who has dedicated their life to service in one way or another is deeply honouring," he said.
