Man says he didn't want to disappoint Alan Jones after alleged robe request

A man accusing Alan Jones of historical indecent assault has told a court he followed the broadcaster's alleged direction to have a shower and come out in a robe because he did not want to disappoint Mr Jones.

Complainant J, who alleges Mr Jones indecently assaulted him on nine occasions in 2003 and 2004, has been cross-examined by barrister Gabrielle Bashir about his account of the allegations in the Sydney Local Court trial.

The Crown and Complainant J said he was 17 at the time of the first alleged assault in 2003, but under cross-examination Complainant J agreed he may have been 18.

The 85-year-old has pleaded not guilty to 20 counts of assault with act of indecency and two counts of sexual touching relating to six alleged victims between 2003 and 2020.
