Country music star Nate Smith revealed he has lost more than 70 pounds, going from around 275 pounds to nearly 200 pounds. This significant weight loss has improved his energy on stage and resolved his breathing difficulties that once affected him during performances and daily tasks.
Smith shared these updates while attending the Sports Illustrated and Tight End University's Tight Ends & Friends Concert at The Pinnacle in Nashville last month. He told People magazine that he now has a new weight loss goal: to reach about 185 pounds.
Reflecting on his motivation, Smith said he wants to maintain his energy to perform at his best for his fans. "Keeping the energy on stage and making sure I do that, because I think that takes care of the fans," he noted. He also expressed personal satisfaction, saying, "I just feel better. It's nice to be able to wear clothes that I like."
Smith mentioned that he used to wear double extra-large sizes for the past five or six years but now fits into a large. Following a medical scare in 2024, he began addressing health issues including overeating and excessive drinking.
Nate Smith continues to manage his eating habits with hopes of dropping below 200 pounds.
