WWE Hall of Famer John Bradshaw Layfield, also known as JBL, is entering the social media arena by partnering with BZZR, a newly launched platform designed exclusively for sports fans. BZZR aims to unite sports enthusiasts while eliminating the typical noise and negativity found on other platforms.
Layfield revealed to Fox News Digital that his decision to join BZZR was influenced by his favorite baseball team, the Texas Rangers, who have partnered with the company. He shared a personal connection, recalling how his blind grandfather used to listen to Rangers games on the radio daily, a tradition that fueled his lifelong fandom.
"I’m a huge Texas Rangers fan and the Rangers have partnered with BZZR," Layfield said. "My grandfather was blind but before he passed away and for several years he used to listen to the Rangers on the radio every afternoon and every night and I’d go over and sit there with him."
He expressed enthusiasm for BZZR's focus on sports without the usual online hostility. "Isn’t that amazing? You actually go on something and you don’t expect anyone to tell you, ‘You suck’ or you ‘look stupid’ or you don’t know anything about anything."
BZZR has already attracted notable figures from the professional wrestling world, including MVP, Kayla Becker, and Dwayne Swayze. The platform promotes itself as "the world’s first streaming and social media platform built exclusively for sports without any nonsense or slop."
Layfield's involvement marks a new chapter following his decades-long career in professional wrestling, highlighted by appearances at major events such as WWE WrestleMania 21 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles and WWE RAW at the American Airlines Center in Dallas.
