A four-month-old Palestinian infant, Ahmad Marouf Zeid, died on July 5 after Israeli forces blocked his urgent transfer to the Arab Specialised Hospital west of Ramallah for over an hour despite his critical condition. Laila Ghannam, governor of Ramallah and el-Bireh, confirmed the death on Facebook.
On the same day, Israeli forces shot dead a 16-year-old boy at the Qalandiya refugee camp near Ramallah, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Health. Additionally, two Palestinians were killed in Gaza amid ongoing Israeli military actions.
Since October 2023, Israeli forces and settlers have killed at least 1,087 Palestinians in the West Bank, the Palestinian Health Ministry reported. Gaza’s Health Ministry stated that violations of the ceasefire with Hamas, effective since October, have resulted in 1,066 deaths and 3,445 injuries.
The situation remains tense with continued violence and humanitarian concerns in both the West Bank and Gaza.
