MUMBAI — Indian rocket manufacturer Skyroot Aerospace has announced it has the capacity to build a launch vehicle every month as it prepares for its upcoming orbital rocket launch, which would mark the first such launch by a private company in India. Co-founder and Chief Executive Pawan Chandana told Nikkei Asia that the startup is moving toward full commercialization by 2027.

Valued at $1.1 billion, Skyroot Aerospace is also developing the next iteration of its launch vehicle, according to Chandana. The company’s rapid production capability and ambitious launch plans highlight its growing role in India's expanding private space sector.
