Podcaster Joe Rogan stated on July 9, 2026, that President Trump may have "f‑‑‑ed it up" with the ongoing conflict involving Iran. This comment came after the U.S. resumed military strikes on Iran following Tehran’s attacks on ships transiting the Strait of Hormuz.
Rogan, speaking on his podcast "The Joe Rogan Experience," said, "We might’ve f‑‑‑ed it up by going to Iran. I mean, this war is not something anybody that’s conservative wanted. Most people don’t want it, except supporters of Israel. They’re the only people that seem to be thinking it’s a good idea in this country. Most people are horrified by the idea because Trump was elected. One of the pillars that he stood for apparently was that he doesn’t want any more wars."
Rogan’s criticism aligns with conservative voices such as Tucker Carlson, Megyn Kelly, and Matt Walsh. British politician Rupert Lowe, a guest on Rogan’s podcast, described Iran as "a sort of malevolent state, and it is spreading very bad philosophy."
Iran has stated that peace across the region was secured in the ceasefire agreement and urged Trump to adhere to the terms outlined in the memorandum of understanding. However, after Iran attacked three ships with fire on Tuesday and continued fighting with the U.S. on Wednesday, President Trump declared the memorandum ceasefire "over."
