JOHOR BAHRU, Malaysia — Barisan Nasional (BN), the junior partner in Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim’s federal coalition, secured a landslide victory in the Johor state election held on Saturday, July 11, 2026. The win has provided significant momentum to BN, intensifying internal tensions within Malaysia’s national-ruling alliance.
