A 15-year-old boy from Anderson, Indiana, Jo'Majze Larry, has been sentenced to 100 years in prison following his conviction for a 2025 gang-related shooting that resulted in the death of one woman, injury to another, and a third person hurt while fleeing the scene, prosecutors said.

Larry was sentenced on Wednesday, July 30, 2026, during a hearing before Judge David Happe of the Circuit Court of Madison County. He was one of four members of the Mickey Cobra Nation (MCN) gang charged with the murder of 26-year-old Dayla Swain, who was shot in February 2025 outside a nightclub in Anderson, a suburb of Indianapolis.

Prosecutors stated that Swain was shot during a botched hit targeting a witness to another homicide. Larry and co-defendant Rashawn Samuels, 19, who went on trial together, were convicted by a jury on June 30, 2026. Samuels was sentenced to 125 years in prison on Thursday, July 31, 2026.

Another defendant, Kyree Craver, 19, was convicted of Swain's murder in a separate trial earlier this year and sentenced by Judge Happe on July 9, 2026, to 90 years in prison.

Indiana law allows Larry, who was under 18 at the time of the murder, to seek a judicial review of his sentence without the prosecuting attorney's consent after serving at least 20 years.

The Madison County District Attorney's Office highlighted that Indiana law recognizes criminal organizations as a greater threat to public safety due to their coordinated criminal activities, recruitment, and offenses committed for financial gain or organizational goals.
