Ohio GOP Senator Bernie Moreno publicly called for Congressman Max Miller to resign, accusing his ex-son-in-law of "increasingly erratic and dangerous behavior." Moreno made the call in a Sunday post on X, describing the aftermath of Miller's divorce from his daughter Emily as "pure hell" for his family.

Moreno's statement followed a report by New York Times Congressional Correspondent Annie Karni that attorneys for Emily had filed for a restraining order against Miller. According to CBS News, Miller allegedly threw scalding water on Emily in a June 2024 incident after she informed him she was ending their marriage.

In response, Miller posted a livestream and documents denying the allegations, stating, "No court or agency has even substantiated any allegation against me. Every single one of these allegations were already investigated."

Moreno emphasized the family's priority has been protecting Emily and their granddaughter, but said Miller's behavior has made keeping the matter private impossible. Meanwhile, Miller has accused Emily’s attorney, Grisham, of violating the terms of a confidential settlement, as reported by Fox News.

The controversy has drawn significant attention within the GOP Buckeye State political scene.
