In the final episode of Fox Nation's three-part series "Unexplained Mysteries of Faith," host Abby Hornacek visited Altadena to speak with Peter and Jackie Halpin. They recounted how, in the immediate aftermath of losing their home, the family gathered, said a prayer together, and sang a hymn around the statue. "As a matter of fact, we all just stood around. We said a family prayer that we say together, and then we decided to sing that song," they shared.

The Halpins reflected on how the act of singing helped them cope with the shock of their loss and noted that the statue's survival inspired others. "I think it gave a lot of people hope, because we believe in God, we are a prayerful family, and we just felt like it was something we should do," they said.

Jackie Halpin, in a January 2026 interview with Angelus News, echoed the importance of faith in her recovery from the emotional toll of the wildfires. Despite chronic illnesses, she has a history of helping others, having traveled to New York City to assist Italian immigrants facing discrimination and establishing 67 educational centers, orphanages, and public institutions during her lifetime.
