Plainclothes FBI agents arrested Jeanine John Taele, 38, from Downey, California, outside Trump National Golf Course in Los Angeles on Sunday, August 2nd, 2026, just two days before President Donald Trump’s anticipated visit.

Taele was found in possession of an illegally modified AR platform rifle, two radio signal devices, a 1911 .45 caliber pistol, an AR platform upper receiver, body armor, high-capacity magazines, and bulk pistol and rifle ammunition, according to The New York Post. Authorities also reportedly recovered a 16-round magazine containing hollow-point ammunition from Taele’s pants during a pat-down.

Lomita Sheriff’s Station deputies responded to the golf course at approximately 3:28 p.m. after federal agents spotted Taele walking the grounds and taking photos and videos. Deputies alleged that Taele, who was already under investigation for robbery by El Segundo police, was monitoring "security planning activities."

Additional weapons, body armor, and multiple notebooks containing concerning statements were found at Taele’s home. He was arrested for carrying a concealed firearm and possession of prohibited ammunition.

The case is under investigation, with the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office reviewing potential additional charges.
