Mauritian rider Kim Le Court secured a dramatic sprint victory on Thursday, August 6th, 2026, in stage six of the Tour de France Femmes. Despite an early crash and mechanical issues that forced a bike change just 15 km from the finish, Le Court, 30, joined an eight-rider breakaway and outpaced her rivals to cross the line first in Tournon-sur-Rhône, southeastern France.

Le Court finished ahead of France's Cedrine Kerbaol and the Netherlands' Puck Pieterse after the challenging 153 km route from Montbrison. Alongside Dutch rider Riejanne Markus, she caught the other breakaway riders shortly before the final climb 10 km from the finish and proved strongest in the final sprint.

This victory marks Le Court's second stage win in the Grande Boucle, following her triumph last year in Guéret. Reflecting on the race, she said, "It was a truly crazy stage. The team did such a great job positioning me at the front of the race that I couldn't give up the fight."

Swiss cyclist Marlen Reusser retained the yellow jersey, maintaining a 12-second lead over Dutch rider Demi Vollering and a 1 minute 17 second gap over Poland's Kasia Niewiadoma. The overall race favorites finished 28 seconds behind the breakaway group.

The race continues with stage seven on Friday, concluding with the queen stage summit finish on Mont Ventoux in the French Alps, featuring the Bedoin climb over 15.7 km at an 8.8 percent gradient.
