Kimberley Le Court of Mauritius claimed victory in the sixth stage of the Tour de France Femmes on Thursday, August 6th, 2026, overcoming earlier mechanical difficulties to win in a reduced sprint finish. The 30-year-old rider suffered a mechanical problem before the final climb and had to change bikes, but with the support of her teammates, she rejoined the leading group in time to launch a decisive sprint.

Le Court joined a small breakaway group 10 kilometres from the finish and launched her sprint with 300 metres remaining, holding off French rider Cedrine Kerbaol at the line. Puck Pieterse of the Netherlands finished third.

"They brought me back slowly but surely to the bunch, and I got back on top of the last climb, which was a really big effort," Le Court said. "Then I just tried to stay patient, try to recover from this big effort. Riejanne Markus and I bridged to the breakaway, and we got to the front."

Despite the stage result, there was no change in the overall standings after the 153.4km ride from Montbrison to Tournon-sur-Rhone. Swiss rider Marlen Reusser retained the yellow jersey with a 12-second lead over Dutch rider Demi Vollering. Poland's Katarzyna Niewiadoma-Phinney remains third, 1 minute and 17 seconds behind the leader.

With three stages remaining, the competition for the overall title remains intense.
