Some of Taylor Swift’s songs have been removed from videos posted on social media by Donald Trump’s campaign and the White House, ending attempts to mock the singer.

A video posted on August 3, 2026, featuring the US president and first lady Melania Trump watching fireworks was shared on TikTok with Swift’s song "August." The post included the text: “I’m sure @Taylor Swift is going to be super excited we used her song! #taylorswift #maga #august.”

Trump’s campaign also published a post mocking Swift over her 2012 album "Red," stating, “Did you know Taylor Swift wrote a whole album about the color of the Republican party?” and suggesting parody track titles.

Other Trump-related social media videos had featured Swift’s music but several have since been muted. These accounts have used songs from various pop stars, including Ariana Grande, Katy Perry, Sabrina Carpenter, Olivia Rodrigo, and Kenny Loggins, often as provocative content.

Ariana Grande publicly objected to the use of her music in a White House video showing ICE agents detaining people, posting, “Please do not use my music in relation to this barbaric, inhumane, heinous nonsense.”

Trump had previously attacked Swift after she endorsed then-Democratic vice-president Kamala Harris during the 2024 election, declaring, “I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT!”

Swift’s Eras tour is noted as the highest-grossing tour of all time, generating approximately $2.2 billion worldwide, according to Pollstar.
