Cornerstone Classical Academy (CCA), a Florida-based classical school, is expanding its footprint with a new campus under construction in Wildlight, as reported by the Jacksonville Daily Record on July 27, 2026. Founded in 2020, CCA’s first tuition-free campus in Jacksonville is set to graduate its inaugural senior class in 2027.

CCA founder and chair Lindsay Randall told the Daily Caller News Foundation that the school offers a traditional American education rooted in the belief that civilizations endure only when one generation intentionally passes its inheritance to the next. Randall said the charter school currently serves approximately 1,200 students and has a waitlist exceeding 1,000.

The academy emphasizes a curriculum focused on truth, goodness, and beauty, covering history, literature, science, mathematics, and the arts. Students study influential ideas and books that have shaped Western civilization.

Nationally, educational progress faces challenges. According to the National Assessment for Educational Progress (NAEP) 2024 report, about 33% of American fourth and eighth graders likely cannot identify basic literary elements such as order of events, character traits, and main ideas in texts. Additionally, NAEP reported that eighth-graders’ math scores have stagnated following an 8-point drop in 2022.

Randall expressed that through the Cornerstone Classical Foundation, they aim to support the growth of high-quality classical schools across Florida and beyond. “Our vision is simple: We are training the next generation of patriots to save the country,” she said.

A March 2024 analysis by Arcadia Education noted that during the 2023-24 school year, 677,521 PK-12 students were enrolled in classical schools nationwide.
