Republican Ohio Rep. Max Miller’s PAC, the Dependable Conservative Leadership PAC, donated more than $70,000 to 16 Republican incumbents facing competitive races in the November 2026 elections, according to Federal Election Commission (FEC) records.
Amid domestic violence allegations against Miller, some GOP candidates have chosen to return or donate the funds, while others have remained silent on the matter. Brad Finstad’s campaign confirmed to the Daily Caller News Foundation (DCNF) that it returned a $5,000 donation from Miller’s PAC. Meanwhile, Brian Fitzpatrick’s campaign stated that the money would be donated to charity. A Fitzpatrick campaign spokesperson said, “Yes, the campaign will be donating the money to charity.”
Other candidates did not respond to inquiries regarding their intentions with the donations. The controversy has drawn criticism from the National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC), whose national press secretary Mike Marinella called Democrats “shameless hypocrites” for ignoring their own candidates with controversies.
