Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) plans to install Islamic foot wash stations, known as Wudu ablution stations, inside the restrooms of Terminal D. The project, officially registered with Texas regulators on July 31, 2026, is privately funded with a budget of $300,000 and is expected to be completed by the end of the year.

According to project details, one ablution station will be added to the men's restroom and one to the women's restroom on the concourse level of Terminal D. The airport stated that the installations are intended to keep bathrooms clean and prevent slippery floors caused by people washing their feet in standard sinks, which can soak floors and damage counters.

DFW emphasized that this addition is part of basic airport management to maintain safety and cleanliness, not an effort to promote any ideology. The airport also noted that similar facilities have been standard infrastructure in other major U.S. airports like Chicago O'Hare and Indianapolis for years to accommodate international travelers.

Separately, President Trump announced a $22 billion renovation plan for Dulles International Airport, aiming to make it the "best" in the country, including replacing "people movers" with a train and walkway system. Trump, who has long criticized Dulles, used a laser pointer to detail the extensive revamp plans.
