Donald Trump Jr. stated on July 10, 2026, that unsealed evidence from the preliminary hearing in the murder case of Charlie Kirk effectively dispels conspiracy theories surrounding Kirk's death.
Trump Jr., a longtime friend of Kirk, was present in the courtroom in Provo, Utah, where he heard arguments and reviewed evidence against Tyler Robinson, 23, who is accused of fatally shooting Kirk, 31, at Utah Valley University in September.
"Based on everything that I saw in that courtroom, it's very clear to me that Tyler Robinson did this," Trump Jr. said on "Jesse Watters Primetime."
He described the case as "very cut-and-dry at this point" and noted that public sentiment has shifted from a "50–50" uncertainty to "90–10," with most people now believing Robinson is guilty.
Testimony from the hearing included allegations that Robinson admitted to the killing in text messages to his roommate, stating he "had enough of his hatred." Additionally, DNA evidence reportedly links both Robinson and his former roommate, Lance Twiggs, to key evidence in the case.
While dismissing conspiracy theories, Trump Jr. acknowledged why some people might remain skeptical. He also questioned why only six police officers were active during the major event at the university where the shooting occurred.
