The White House and President Donald Trump’s campaign team have removed Taylor Swift’s music from their online videos. A TikTok clip posted six days ago featuring Trump and first lady Melania Trump originally included Swift’s song “August” but is now silent, although the caption still reads, “mood because it’s August and Donald Trump is your president.”

Additionally, a video posted by Team Trump in November 2025 that previously featured Swift’s song “Father Figure” no longer includes her music. That clip showed the president on the White House stairs and footage of him pumping his fist with blood on his face following an assassination attempt during his 2024 campaign in Pennsylvania.

Taylor Swift has not publicly commented on the Trump administration’s use of her songs, unlike artists such as Ariana Grande and Katy Perry, who have openly rejected ties to the White House after their music was used in content.

Swift opposed Trump during the 2024 election and endorsed former Vice President Kamala Harris, stating on Instagram, “I will be casting my vote for Kamala Harris … in the 2024 presidential election.” In 2020, Swift also said Trump was “WELL AWARE we do not want him as our president.” In 2025, Trump wrote, “Has anyone noticed that, since I said ‘I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT,’ she’s no longer ‘HOT?'”
